Adaptemy Announces University College London Patnership

Adaptemy Selected for UCL EdTech Labs Autumn 2025 Cohort

This week marked the start of Adaptemy participating in the AIED cohort of the Evidence-Based UCL EdTech Labs. It was a stimulating introduction to the latest insights of evidence-based application of AI education with an engaging and diverse cohort of AIED companies.

We are committed to creating experiences where every learner succeeds through education, powered by learning science and intelligently designed AI. This vision enables us to reflect and strengthen our commitment to our cause. Being able to critically evaluate and integrate actionable insights into back into our AI driven learning innovations through co-design with our partners is a fantastic opportunity. We look forward to the following sessions with critical friends that are our inspiring cohort peers and facilitators over the next four months with UCL EdTech Labs!

About UCL EdTech Labs

We’re pleased to share that Adaptemy has been selected to join the Autumn 2025 cohort of the UCL EdTech Labs —a research-informed program supporting education companies focused on meaningful, evidence-based innovation.

Hosted by University College London (UCL), one of the world’s leading institutions for education and research, the EdTech Labs program is designed to support high-potential EdTech ventures in building scalable, impactful solutions grounded in pedagogy, learning science, and robust evaluation.

UCL EdTech Labs is a 12-week hybrid accelerator focused on helping early and growth-stage education companies refine their products, connect with researchers, and validate their impact. The program offers:

  • Structured mentorship from leading learning scientists and industry experts
  • Access to research frameworks for evaluating learning outcomes and effectiveness
  • Workshops on product-market fit, evidence generation, and go-to-market strategy
  • A collaborative network of peer EdTech founders, educators, and researchers

Participation is open to companies working across all areas of education—from early years to lifelong learning—and is designed to bridge the gap between educational research and real-world product development.

Why This Matters for Adaptemy

At Adaptemy, our focus has always been on building adaptive learning systems that are both technically robust and educationally sound. Joining UCL EdTech Labs aligns well with our commitment to:

  • Evidence-based design: ensuring our learning models and personalisation strategies are informed by research and validated through learner outcomes
  • Continuous improvement: using academic partnerships and independent evaluation to iterate and enhance the effectiveness of our solutions
  • Scalable impact: helping our education partners deliver measurable learning gains through AI-powered personalisation and adaptive pathways

The program offers us the opportunity to refine how we measure impact, strengthen our theory of change, and engage more directly with the academic research community.

Looking Ahead

Over the coming months, we’ll be working closely with the UCL EdTech Labs team, engaging with their network of researchers, and participating in collaborative sessions focused on topics like:

  • Learning science and pedagogy
  • Evidence generation and validation
  • Responsible AI in education
  • Effective scaling strategies in EdTech

We look forward to applying these insights across our platform and partner projects—and sharing what we learn with our community of educators, publishers, and technologists.

We’re grateful to the team at UCL EdTech Labs for the opportunity and look forward to contributing to, and learning from, this thoughtful and growing EdTech ecosystem.
